201404 Club Magazine - April 2014
Our lovely front cover is taken from an oil painting by Andrew Kitson of Willie Green winning at the 2003 Goodwood Revival in Said Marouf’s 1965 TZ2 and it sets the tone for a magazine full of good things. Spring is here and this is the time for making summer plans. We bring you plenty of information on forthcoming events; National Alfa Weekend and Scottish Italian Car Day in May, Cotswolds Alfa Day in June, AROC racing at Cadwell Park in July, MITCAR in August and more AROC racing in September and October. We also have articles on trips that have taken place recently; Nick Clancy to Ireland, Jon Dooley to Monte Carlo, Nick Wright to the Dublin Classic Car Show and Andrew Brown to the Artcurial Auction at Retromobile. John Griffiths tells us how to make our cars worthy of the Concours at Boughton House, Lis Whitehair encourages the novices amongst us to get on track at Bruntingthorpe and Ben Cook writes up the 147 Buyers’ Guide. All this and the usual suspects, including the long-awaited return of Taxi Driver!!
