201804 Club Magazine - April 2018
The 88 page, full-colour April issue of the AROC magazine will be delivered shortly. Guy Swarbrick’s photograph of the F1 Alfa Romeo Sauber graces the front cover and Guy writes of the team, the drivers and the testing of the car in Barcelona; Richard Murtha of the beginning of the 2018 season for many of the race series that Alfas run in, in the UK including the Alfa Romeo Championship, while Jamie tells of the evolution of his Alfa Romeo 75 into a ‘track slag’.
It’s not all racing though, with the first of the 2018 ‘park and polish’ events having already taken place (Nick Wright went to the Dublin Classic Car Show in March) and information on plenty more to come during the next 6 months, including Spring Alfa Day on Sunday, 22nd April and culminating in the 2018 European Montreal Meeting in Inverary, Scotland in September.
Alfa models covered include the MiTo by David Faithful; Stephen Evans’ Brera and GT; Brian Smith’s Series 4 Spider, Roy Stephenson’s 916 Spider and Simon Ward’s 916 GTV.
Oliver Yarrow (AROC’s 156 Registrar) answers the AROC Lives questions, Peter Collins’ photographs show us some of what we missed recently at Silverstone and Retromobile and John Williams has been working hard at the auctions.
The Register and Section News bring us out into the Spring and John Griffiths corrects the colour on his wife’s yellow MiTo assuring us that the sun will shine brightly for the event season ahead
